The ICAI has announced the new CA Foundation Registration 2021 program for CA Foundation Course on their official website, i.e- icai.org. CA Foundation is the first step in the journey of becoming a Chartered Accountant and for that candidates have to have to register with BOS, i.e., Board of Studies and with the foundation course. ICAI Opens the portal for the CA Foundation Registration for CA Foundation Course twice a year even the CA Foundation Exams held twice a year in the months of May and Nov as its other levels CA Intermediate and CA Final. NOTE:- Those candidates who want to pursue the CA Foundation course have to make the registration online through ICAI Website, i.e- icai.org. Applicants will be qualified for the CA Foundation Exam 2021 only if they fill the CA Foundation Course 2021 application Form. If Somehow you could not pass the examination in either one or two attempts your registration will not get expired. Because the CA Foundation Registration will be valid for 3 year means you have up to six attempts. If you could not pass the exam in three years so, you can revalidate your registration for furthermore three years by depositing aa amount of Rs 300/- as revalidation fees.

Eligibility Criteria For CA Foundation Registration 2021

You can apply for CA Foundation Registration only after clearing the 12th examination conducted by an independent body established by Central Government and constitutes by Law. Prior, a student could register for CPC (Common Proficiency Course) after clearing the 10th Class examinations. But now a student can only register himself for the CA Foundation Course after appearing in the 12th class examinations and he will eligible to sit in the CA Foundation exam 2021 after clearing the class 12th Examination.

The most important thing about this exam is that there is no age limit, you can register to become a CA at any age, with this there is no provision for any kind of reservation for pass score and campus placement. That further enhances its reputation. You have to apply for the CA Foundation Exam for 4 months in advance. A candidate needs to go through the 4 months study period for showing up in the CA Foundation Examination.

Though, ICAI has allowed provisional registration for 12th class students for the November 2021 CA Foundation Exam. As the state board and central board exams being rescheduled, the 12th Class students are qualified for this Provisional Registration in two situations:-

  • Students who hold a valid admit card given state board or central board of India and have appeared in one or more boards exams.
  • Students who have a valid admit card, given by the state board or central board of examination, yet have not appeared in any of the board exams.

So, instead of the mark sheet for the 12th class, students have to submit a scanned copy of their admit card. When their result will get announced, students have to submit their mark sheets as well. Students who have attended the exams but their result have not announced or in awaited, they can also register for the course under provisional registration. How To Register For CA Foundation Course 2021 (Submission Process)

Those who are applying for the CA Foundation Registration for the first time and have some doubts so don’t worry, we have elaborated on the CA Foundation registration process step by step so you can better understand the procedure without making any mistake. Step 1:- Student who wants to get register themselves for the first time have to Click here. When you click on the link the screen given below will open. Then you have to fill in all the details properly asked on the screen.

Step 2:- After filling all the details, Enter the Captcha text and click submit button to receive an OTP on your given number..

Step 3:- Soon, you will receive an OTP at your given number for validation.

Step 4:- Enter the OTP to complete the validation and Login Process.

Step 5:- When OTP Validations is Completed, the Applicant will get login credentials on their Email/SMS for login to complete the CA Foundation Registration Process. In order to Login for further process Click here. After clicking the following screen below will open.

Step 6:- After successfully logging in, You have to provide other necessary details in the registration form. Below are the further details which you have to provide  to complete the CA Foundation 2021 registration

Step 7:- After filling in all the details, click on ‘Save and Next’

Step 8:- In the next window you will the form which require details about your 10th and 12th qualification, such as a name in the Board exam, Roll no., Year and month, and Result details (Marks, Percentage/CGPA). In order to complete the form, you have to upload the scanned documents of your 10th and 12th Mark-sheet or 12th admit card in case of provisional registration.

Step 9:- In next step you have to upload your photo and a scanned copy of your signature specimen ( must be on white blank paper). The aspect ratio of the photograph would be width-21 cm and length-27 cm. The size of scanned documents should be less then 1 Mb in a PDF or jpeg format. Always check your details and document properly to avoid rejection.

Step 10:- The last step in this process is “payment” of the CA Foundation Registration Fees. After submitting all the details you will be redirected to the payment gateway. Now you have various option to make payment such as Net-banking, Credit Card, Debit Card. After successful completion of the payment CA Foundation course fees, the system will automatically generate along with the transaction message.

Step 11:- Take out the print out of the generated and filled form of the CA Foundation Course. After this attach all the required document and post them to the postal address of ICAI. After successfully complete the Registration process ICAI will send you the CA Foundation Study Material at your given address through the Centralized Dispatch System (CDS).

Documents You Required for CA Foundation Registration 2021

Registration Letter of CA Foundation 2021

How to download CA Foundation Registration Letter Online.

Students who want to download their CA Foundation registration letter 2021 online have to visit ICAI’s authority site. Click on the e-services given at the top on the right side of the website.

  • After clicking on the e-services, you will find the reprint letter under Head Members and Students.
  • There you have to select the type of letter you want to print i.e. registration for the CA Foundation course.
  • After selecting the letter type you have to select the candidate type i.e. student.
  • Now, you need to enter your registration number and then the date of birth.
  • After submitting all the above details, you can take out the print of your letter.

Why CA Foundation Registration Letter Required Before the Exam

ICAI has always been advising that along with your admit card, you should also keep the registration letter with you. It takes one month for the registration letter to reach your registered address. If the admission letter is not available, you can appear in the CA Foundation Examination through a registration letter after some process.
